Baring it All

One evening at the dinner table, a friend who was here on holiday from UK was talking of our younger days. She went “Your girlfriend,” and stopped midway, looked at me and went red in the face. My wife and I look at her and we broke into laughter. She looked puzzled.

My wife said to her, “Don’t worry, say what you want to say, I have met all his girlfriends. Before we got married he introduced all his good and best friends both males and females to me. He gave me a little background about them, too. I even get to meet some of his friends’ parents. I know who his friends are but somehow he missed you. There is a photo album of all his friends, want to see or not? ”

My friend replied “I went to UK to do nursing, got married and settled over there that was why you did not get to meet me.”

She turned to me “Wah, you really introduced all your girlfriends to her?”

I went “Hey, it is better to be upfront rather than quai quai shi shi. This will stop any suspicion in the future. Relationship is based on trust. This is what makes a good and strong marriage. Anyway it will much easier and enjoyable when we get to meet the friends together. No uneasiness. Last year we went back, LL organised a party for us at her place. She got AK to pick us up. We were surprise to see all our friends at the party and we had a good time.”

My friend “So did you get to met her boyfriends?”

I smiled and reply “I know all her admirers, including her secret admirers.”

My wife went blushed.

We all had a good laugh that night.
