Car Washing – My Way, the easier way

Today I shall share with you how I wash car the easy way and no waxing. This method was taught to me by an elderly man. I met him one day when I sent my car for servicing. He had this car which was 20 year then and the paint work was original and as new looking as the day he took it out of the showroom. So out of curiosity, I asked him how he managed to keep his car sparkling clean and shining. He told he does not use any commercial washing liquid nor he waxes his car. Now that certainly got my attention. Seeing my curiosity he told me his secret.

Today I shall share that secret with you and the final decision to use this method is up to you. I have washed my previous and present cars this way.

Method:

  1. Rinse car to loosen grime.
  2. Wipe car with a clean pail of water (You may skip this step if your car is not very dirty. I usually skipped this step)
  3. Fill empty pail with ½ cup to ¾ cup of petrol. Fill up pail with water (approx. 10 litres).
  4. Wash car as you normally would. Then wipe car dry. Rinse cloth in the pail of water, now & then to remove dirt.
  5. When the car is completely dry, buff car with a dry clean cloth.

Your paintwork will shine through just as though you have waxed the car. No waxing and save water too.

But if your car paintwork had faded away, don’t expect miracles. OK!

The pictures below you see posted are of my 7 years old car washed in this way.
