Let's not be quick to judge

We are quick to judge. It is always easy to point the fingers at someone. In the recent tragedy, I am a sure there are many out there wagging their tongues and passing judgement on the parents of these kids. But first, I must make it clear I do not condone their action but I also want to make it clear I am not passing any judgement on their actions either. Let God be the judge.

The decisions or mistakes they made is enough to condemn them with guilt and sorrows for the rest of their lives. I am sure it was not a light decision to be made. Numerous thoughts and alternatives were thought through for a long time. Plead for help were ignored and every turn and direction they make looks doomed. In desperation, this sad decision was made. In their mind, they could picture the kids having a bleak or no future. There was no hope and they do not want the kids to crawl, beg and suffer through this cruel world. They were unable to pay their debt, threats were made to take their lives or have the kids sold in to slavery. Whatever the threats were, it was enough to send chill through their body. Yes, it is better for the kids to die than suffer the sins of the parents. That was the love of the parents.

Families and friends shun them like pariah. They condemn their action and no longer want to have any contact with them. “Let them be”, they said,”They deserved to die.”
Let's not be quick to judge. Let us take for a moment to put ourselves in their shoes to understand the agony they have being through, the continuous threat they face everyday, the rejecting continuous plead for help, the sleepiness night and nightmare, the every steps they take seems to suck them into the bottomless pit, the hopelessness and the helplessness, the anguish that all is lost, life is no longer worth living.

My heart feels for them. There is nothing I can do but pray to my God. I pray the children are in heaven. Happy, surrounded with love and have forgiven the parents for their action. I pray God have forgiven the parents for their sins and lift the burden from their heart. I pray the judge will be merciful to them. And most of all, they will be peace in their heart for the rest of their natural lives till they return to God, the Almighty.

May God punish those evil loan sharks who were merciless. And those who could help but just looked on without a helping hand, may their conscience pricked them for the rest of their lives.
