Something To Look Forward To

These days when you open the newspapers, turn on the radio or TV, there are always sad or bad news. Good, happy, joyous and jovial news are hard to come by. The sad and bad news sometimes make you depress. It is so depressing that there is nothing to look forward into the future. I guess there are times you wonder what kind of future hold in the days ahead.

But there is something that I read and now I have something to look forward to in the next another 50 years with all my aching joints, my bengkok back, my wrinkling, toothless face and botak head. This I must see and join the celebration even if it kills me. I think it’s bloody worth it! Do you agree?

Says The Prime Minister of Malaysia...

"A hundred years of Merdeka (independence) would see this society, this nation achieve the unimaginable.

We will have Nobel laureates, truly global corporations, respected and market-leading brands, internationally acclaimed poets and artists, among the largest number of scientific patents in the world and even the best football team in Asia.

Our students and professors will dominate Ivy League universities and our own universities will be citadels of excellence for international scholars.

We will be pioneers in alternative energy, drawing on our strength in biofuels.

Our cities will be the most liveable on the globe, blending cosmopolitan facilities that are rooted in a tolerant and just societal ethos".
